Golf bags

Golfers place their equipment in golf bags so that it can be carried with them on the golf course. A full golf bag can be very heavy. In the early days of country club golfing, wealthy golfers hired caddies to carry their clubs.

Contemporary golfers now have golf bags that more closely resemble golf stands. The bags have legs so they don't fall over when placed on the ground. It is more common now to see golfers use a golf cart to haul around their golf bags than to hire a caddy.

Golf bags do more than just hold clubs. They have extra pockets for golf balls, tees, and towels. In addition, they can be divided by numerous partitions so that golfers can organize their drivers, woods, irons, and putter.
