Golf courses and country clubs typically have dress codes. The dress code includes specifications for golf shirts. Golf shirts are similar to tennis shirts and are called polo shirts in stores.

Unlike T-shirts all golf shirts feature a two or three button collar. A pocket is optional. Golf shirts have typically been made of knitted cloth, but now come in more modern synthetic fibers that allow sweat to evaporate easily.

Golf shirts are made for both men and women. They come in sizes for all builds. Classic brands include Polo and Lacoste, but newer manufacturers such as Tommy Hilfiger have brought their own style of golf shirts to market.

How much does it cost to play a round of golf?
A typical round of golf at a country club costs approximately 40 dollars to 50 dollars per person. Higher profile golf courses will charge even more. To save money see if there is a public course nearby.

What is happening to construction of new golf courses during the current recession?
Many high-profile golfers earn additional income by designing new golf courses for elite resorts. However, with the economy slumping construction of many of these courses has been delayed. Some plans for courses have been canceled entirely.

What are some major golf tournaments shown on TV?
Golf has four major tournaments that are shown on national television each year. These include the British Open, the Masters, the U.S. Open, and the PGA tournament. Tiger Woods is on track to win the most majors of any golfer before the end of his career.
